Director

After a decade of working post on fellow artist's projects, I finally decided to join the party. Leaning on my skillset as a visual FX artist, I started my directing career in January of 2020 with the dark comedy short film Just A Ghoul,

starring Jacob Zachar (Greek, CSI, Transformers ),  JJ Nolan (Snatchers, The Big Leap, Pretty Problems ) and Courtney Pauroso ( Key & Peele, 2 Broke Girls ).

Hell of a time to start directing. The last day of production was a day before the NBA shut down and we all went inside. This was a crash course in collaboration, as all reshoots, editing, sound mixing, composing and post production were orchestrated over telephone, Zoom and side-to-side car exchanges. It took nearly a year and a half to finish the ambitious 29 minute film, but it was an incredible experience.

The forced constraints taught me a ton about the choices that good directors make.

 

Just A Ghoul  has thus far been selected to 8 film festivals, and earned the overall Audience Choice Award at the Yucca Valley Film Festival. It has also received the overall "Best Visual FX" award at 2022 Poppy Jasper International Film Festival and Top 3 Overall Comedy at "Short. Sweet. Cleveland Film Fest"

Now that it's safe to shoot again, I am CHOMPING to direct my next project.

I can't wait to share my next short, which is currently in pre-production.
